Accommodation

Accommodation within Campus

The Institute has two guest houses within the campus. The guest house near the Admin Building is called the Bose-Einstein Guest House and the guest house in the hostel zone is called the Taramani Guest House.

The Taramani Guest House has more than 80 rooms in total. Out of this 18 are Suites, about 50 air-conditioned rooms and the rest are rooms without a/c. Housed in an imposing double storeyed building and located at a central place, TGH provides boarding and lodging facilities for the Institute guests and Visitors, newly appointed faculty, staff members, delegates and participants attending various conferences, seminars, symposia and workshops. TGH is operated as a non-profit activity to mainly support the academic and research activity on the campus with a homely atmosphere and ambiance traditionally acclaimed for its environs of hygiene and food of homely relish and richness.

Accommodation For paid and Registered Participants

  • Participants, who have already registered and paid for the conference, would be provided accommodation within IIT Madras at the Taramani Guest House on a triple/double occupancy basis only. The cost is covered in the registration fees. List of participants with accommodation confirmation

  • Preference has been given to Non-Chennai participants for rooms confirmation.

  • Rooms would be allocated, at the time of check-in on a first-come-first-serve basis.

  • Rooms are available from July 13th noon till July 17th noon only.

  • Due to limited availability of guest house rooms at IIT Madras, T4E office would not be able to provide accommodation for participants planning on spot registrations. Please make your own accommodation arrangements.

  • Participants are welcome to make their own accommodation arrangements at their own cost. List of hotels nearby are listed below for your reference. Hotel room availability & bookings must be handled by the participants directly.

  • No local transportation arrangements would be made by the T4E office.
